Well, hello there :] This is the press kit for Iskrambol Days: Cute Foodcart, the ice scramble mobile game inspired by my favorite Filipino streetfood, iskrambol/ice scramble. Make your perfect iskrambol!

Description
Remember the days of eating cold desserts after a looong day of boring schoolwork? Well, it’s time to relieve those childhood memories!
Iskrambol Days is a cute and cozy mobile game about selling iskrambols (or ice scramble), an iconic street snack in the Philippines. Use your favorite Filipino ingredients to fulfill each customer’s unique tastes!
Customize to your heart’s content! With a big focus on personalization, Iskrambol Days allows players to move toppings as they like, win ingredients by playing minigames, create their own iskrambol recipes, and more~

What’s iskrambol?
Iskrambol or “ice scramble” is a popular Filipino snack served cold and made with shaved ice, powdered milk, and LOTS of sugar. Often, iskrambol vendors sell near schools since they know they’ll attract lots of hungry young customers with their colorful and sweet iskrambols.

Game Features
Make cute iskrambols by adding different ingredients: Ice, milk, and toppings.
Decorate iskrambols with cup decorations. Rearrange any ingredients or decorations to your liking.
Learn a customer’s “perfect” iskrambol through trial-and-error.
Craft your own iskrambol recipes to re-use iskrambols you’ve made before.
Play minigames to win ingredients and coins.
Buy cart upgrades, ingredients, and cup decor in the shop.

Game Pillars
Cute Pixelart
The style of the game is cute, minimalist, and pastel pixel art.
Wholesome Concept and Nostalgic Theme
Through the game, players can relive memories of eating iskrambols and even learn how to make them themselves.
Freedom and Low-Stress in Iskrambol-Making
Players choose how to decorate and style their iskrambols. They can move ingredients/decor to their liking. Ingredients vary in color, shape, and size, and positioning also doesn’t matter. This mechanic allows each iskrambol to be made different from each other. Timers are also optional.

Game Lore
Iskrambol Days is set in present-day Philippines. The player sells iskrambols with an iskrambol cart near a few different schools. Customers (mostly students) come by to get iskrambols during their breaks. Eating their favorite iskrambols helps brighten their schooldays. Akin to real life, iskrambols sell at a very low price, and buying ingredients/decorations is expensive.

About Iskrambol Days Development
The development of Iskrambol Days started in February 2024, but I came up with the “iskrambol” concept in December 2023. It started out as a typical fast-paced business-optimization-type game but I eventually redesigned it to a more low-stress cute mobile game focused on decoration aspects. TheI release was planned to be in June but the hype I got from Tiktok really encouraged me to take more time to polish the game.
Iskrambol Days is inspired by iskrambol, my favorite Filipino street food. When I was younger, I really loved eating iskrambols whenever it was hot. The milk powder is my favorite ^-^
The game aims to combine the nostalgia of classic freestyle food decor games and the satisfaction of adding a personalized touch to one’s creations. I was mainly inspired by Papa games (mostly Papa’s Freezeria), Boba Story, and Little Corner Tea House. I wanted to go even further with decoration mechanics, where players could rearrange ingredients, make their own recipes, and personalize their shop.

About kendikorp
My goal as kendikorp is to create Filipino-themed games inspired by my experiences. Through my games, I hope to showcase different aspects of Filipino culture and make them accessible enough for young Filipinos to appreciate and enjoy.
Iskrambol Days is my second commercial game. I’m a solo game developer who works on the game in my free time from college. I self-learned game development back in 2020 during the pandemic and had my “debut” when I got the CCP indie gamedev grant to develop Galà.
I do the code, game design, and promotional content. For stuff I can’t do like art and music, I love commissioning Filipino artists. However, I don’t love using my pocket money xD

Crowdfunding
I’m hoping to crowdfund future updates through kofi.com/kendikorp. Once the game releases, I’ll be asking for players’ suggestions for content and features through polls and posts. Then I’ll handpick some and add them to the game in future updates!
